Quinoa Bread Recipe for a Bread Maker...

Quinoa Bread RecipeHomemade Quinoa Bread

This quinoa bread recipe is something of an anomaly on this site.

After all, we usually try to showcase quinoa facts and recipes that highlight it’s glorious gluten-free-ness.

Plus, we personally have a fairly restricted diet. And so in other words...

We typically shrink from sugar. But not with this recipe.

We dutifully dodge dairy. But not here.

We yelp at the thought of yeast. But not this time.

Yes, indeed -- in this recipe we even glory in gluten!

And we actually ended up having a lot of fun in the process.

So keep reading to figure out how to make some fun and tasty quinoa bread in your own bread machine!

Let’s start with the ingredients...

Quinoa Bread Recipe: Ingredients

Keep all these ingredients at room temperature. If there’s an exception to this rule I’ll let you know below...

Heat to 85-105 degrees and use a thermometer to ensure the proper temperature

    Use real stick butter

  • ¾ tsp Salt

  • ½ Cup Whole wheat flour

  • 1 ¾ Cup Bread flour

    Milk powder

    Sugar

    Salt

    Wheat flour

    Bread flour

    Gluten

    Yeast

  2. Turn on the bread machine

  3. Set the machine to the Specialty Bread Program

  4. Mix the following ingredients together well…

    Quinoa

    Sugar

  5. When the machine beeps 4 times, add the Quinoa/Sugar mixture and -- finally -- the Cinnamon.

  6. Sit back and let the machine work its magic!

The inlaws'

We made this bread recipe at my in-laws’ house over the holidays.

Now, let me explain -- quinoa is not at all my in-laws’ favorite food. In fact I think my father-in-law in particular is even a little suspicious of it!

But when they ate this bread they really liked it! Lori’s dad even said so. Believe me, this was high praise!

Ours

We thought that the bread looked nice and smelled delicious in the toaster.

And even though we try to stay away from gluten and yeast, we took a little taste. And… it. was. yummy!

And now... Yours!

Try it! We think you’ll agree.
